WHY I MEDIATE
From my earliest exposure to mediation, I knew I wanted to be a mediator. In my first mediation—and in many that followed throughout my career as a litigator—I was drawn to the collaborative nature of the process, the emotional weight carried by clients, and the immense relief they felt when a resolution was reached. The transformative power of mediation, both for individuals and businesses, is what has called me to this work.
While my legal career included many significant wins—on both sides of the bar, including an 8-figure trial verdict—my most fulfilling moments were when hard work, diplomacy, and collaboration led to resolution. I am wired as a peacemaker and thrive in helping others move from conflict to closure. Being in a role where I foster collaboration, harmony, and positive resolution allows me to fully leverage my strengths as a mediator. My natural inclination toward diplomacy, patience, and appreciating others enables me to create an environment where parties feel heard and valued, leading to successful and meaningful resolutions.
I was drawn to The Mediation Collaborative because of its mission to improve and innovate the mediation process. I believe in a more efficient, transparent approach—one that minimizes posturing and game-playing to help parties reach resolution with greater ease and clarity.
