Meet the visionaries behind The Mediation Collaborative
Founded by Tripper Ortman of Ortman Mediation and Brandon McKelvey of M Resolution, TMC was built on a shared vision: to create a collaborative environment where mediators can grow, thrive, and reshape the mediation industry.
OUR MISSION
We exist to elevate the mediation profession by fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. We believe mediators should never work in isolation. By bringing mediators together, we create a space for growth—personally, professionally, and as a community.
Our goal is to transform how mediation is practiced. We provide mediators with the tools, training, and business support they need to thrive, while giving lawyers a trusted source for high-quality mediation services that deliver consistent resolutions to difficult disputes.

Both Tripper and Brandon have seen firsthand the challenges that mediators face when working in isolation, and their shared passion for building a better system led them to create TMC. They’ve spent years refining their craft and are now dedicated to helping the next generation of mediators rise to new heights.
Tripper Ortman
Ortman Mediation
Tripper Ortman, the founder of Ortman Mediation, is known for his unique blend of legal acumen and experience, business leadership, and a personable, dynamic approach to dispute resolution.
As a former teacher, broadcaster, trial lawyer, and equity partner in a large international law firm, Tripper brings a diverse skill set to his mediation practice. He combines clear communication, strategic thinking, and deep empathy to resolve even the most challenging employment disputes.
Tripper’s mediation style is defined by his ability to connect with a diverse range of individuals and businesses, creating an environment where all parties feel heard. His depth of experience as a trial lawyer and wage/hour expert, coupled with his teaching background, enables him to break down complex issues and guide participants toward meaningful solutions.
Additionally, Tripper’s experience as an equity partner and business owner at Ortman Mediation gives him the business insight needed to balance legal and financial considerations. This well-rounded perspective has made him one of the most trusted names in the industry.

Brandon McKelvey
M Resolution
Brandon McKelvey, the founder of M Resolution, has quickly become one of the most sought after employment mediators as a result of his unique approach to mediation.
Brandon’s proprietary mediation methodology intertwines active listening, emotional intelligence, and creative negotiation exercises designed to remove obstacles encountered in mediation.
Wired as an entrepreneur but trained as a lawyer, he is always envisioning ways to improve the mediation experience. The inspiration behind M Resolution and TMC stems from his eclectic professional career, which includes a diverse blend of business and legal experiences in the employment arena.
Brandon has worked as a lawyer on both sides of employment disputes, served as a partner in a large international employment defense firm, launched and grown a boutique employment defense firm serving small and mid-size businesses, built and ran a start-up legal compliance business, and served as a CEO for multiple businesses. This fusion of business and legal experiences leads to a mediation that blends the realms of law and enterprise to imaginatively resolve employment disputes.
